Renowned for their expertise in cruise ship and passenger vessel interiors, TDoS brings a wealth of design knowledge to the world of superyachts. The project, initiated by the illustrious SilverYachts and crafted externally by Espen Oeino, provided TDoS with a unique opportunity to showcase their micro-detail design prowess.
Maverick, the brainchild of this collaboration, embodies a Scandinavian-inspired interior characterized by simplicity and elegance. TDoS Yacht, led by Daniel Nerhagen, Partner and Yacht Director, meticulously crafted an interior that seamlessly combines natural materials with bold, sporty colors against a neutral backdrop.
The focus on natural materials, a hallmark of Scandinavian design, plays a pivotal role in creating a serene and functional environment. Oak wood, chosen for its warm and natural tones, becomes the canvas upon which the design story unfolds. Daniel Nerhagen emphasizes the importance of a calm aesthetic achieved through natural colors, allowing materials to stand out and breathe.
The SilverCat 22M project introduces vibrant pops of color, including orange, blue, and white, injecting life and luxury into both interior and exterior spaces. Departing from traditional yacht palettes, TDoS embraced strong and vibrant hues to deliver a unique and distinctive ambiance.
TDoS Yacht’s expertise extends beyond color selection; they strategically incorporated elements of Espen Oeino’s exterior styling into open deck and interior furniture and finishes. This subtle integration reflects a holistic approach to design, ensuring a seamless transition between exterior and interior spaces.
With Maverick’s interior and exterior furniture taking inspiration from Oeino’s shapes, the yacht offers a genuine indoor-outdoor experience. The design language flows fluidly throughout, fostering a sense of continuity and harmony between different areas.
