Mexican singer-actress Thalia looked back at how working in the Philippines became one of the highlights of her career after meeting BINI at the Billboard Women in Music ceremony.
Thalia on Saturday, May 2, shared glimpses of her interactions with BINI at the awards ceremony via Instagram, where they lip-synced to her smash hit “Marimar,” snapped photos, and exchanged pleasantries backstage.
“The Philippines is a country that has walked with me through the years, forming part of my history and who I am today. And the love they’ve given Marimar has been just endless,” she said.
“And suddenly, life meets us here, together with the beautiful @bini_ph celebrating love, music, and that universal language that connects us no matter borders,” she continued.
Thalia said she enjoyed meeting the P-pop powerhouse at the event.
“Thank you for so much love, for every hug, and for making me feel so loved. Loved meeting you ladies!” she said.
Thalia and BINI were among the awardees at the Billboard Women in Music ceremony, which celebrated the contributions and legacy of female artists. The Mexican singer-actress received the Icon award, while BINI received the Global Force award.
