“Jimmy, I hope you do the right thing and take Donald Trump as your date,” she advised. “No one’s given you more material than that dude. He’s the best writer you got.”
As the first guest host of the summer, comic/actor Haddish has picked up where Kimmel left off with jokes about the president each night ― and one crack earlier in the week even triggered the White House into a response.
“The president is very focused on issues that matter right now ― and apparently, I’m one of them,” she announced with glee. “I got a shout out from the White House today.”
Haddish mocked Trump for meddling in the World Cup for USA, only for the team to lose to Belgium right after.
“It seems like everything Trump touches dies ― which I guess is why his tiny hands are all fucked up,” she cracked on Tuesday.
Haddish said “some little snitch at USA Today” asked the White House for comment on the joke.
“Who the hell is Tiffany Haddish?” White House spokesperson David Ingle told the newspaper.
Haddish celebrated the mention.
“This is exciting. The White House is mad at me, y’all,” she said. “This is the day that I finally become Jimmy Kimmel.”
