1. ‘Fire & Rain’ concert at the King Center
Brevard Symphony Orchestra will give a “Fire & Rain: Folk Anthems of the 70s” concert at the King Center, 3865 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Singer-songwriter duo Swearingen & Kelli joins the BSO to highlight music from ‘70s artists including iconic songs by James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, Carole King, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot, Cat Stevens and more. 2. Adagio Sax Quartet concert in Suntree
The Adagio Sax Quartet, a small ensemble of the Melbourne Municipal Band, will present “A Love Note” concert on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Suntree/Viera Library, 902 Jordan Blass Drive, Melbourne. 3. ColorRun 3K in Melbourne
IndiaFest hosts the ColorRun 3K at the Holy Trinity Upper School campus, 5625 Holy Trinity Drive, Melbourne, on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 8 a.m. Proceeds from this family-friendly event will benefit military and veteran programs at Eastern Florida State College. The race will feature a vibrant shower of cornstarch-based dry colors along the race course. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing, sunglasses and a hat. 4. Brewer’s Bash in Cocoa Village
This family- and pet-friendly event will be at Cocoa Village’s Riverfront Park, 401 Riveredge Blvd., on Saturday, Feb. 1 from 1 to 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend, but tickets for $60 are required for those who want to enjoy unlimited beer, mead and cider sampling. 5. Brevard Renaissance Fair in Melbourne
The Brevard Renaissance Fair continues through Feb. 23 in a new location at 3190 New York Ave., Melbourne, each weekend with a different theme. With daily stage shows, varieties of foods and treats and artisan merchants with handcrafted wares, the event invites guests to immerse themselves in a unique experience of history and fantasy. Feb. 1 and 2 is “Pirate Weekend,” Feb. 8 and 9 is “Celtic Weekend,” Feb. 15 and 16 is “Beerfest Weekend” and Feb. 22 and 23 is “Carnivale Weekend.” Single day passes are $29, two-day passes are $53, and VIP Royal Family passes start at $140. 6. Cherry Down concert in Palm Bay
The City of Palm Bay hosts a free concert featuring Cherry Down at Veteran’s Memorial Park, 2201 Port Malabar Blvd. NE, Palm Bay, on Saturday, Feb. 1 from 4 to 8 p.m. The event will include live music, food trucks, a kids zone and more. 7. Auditions at Cocoa Village Playhouse
Cocoa Village Playhouse, 300 Brevard Ave., will hold auditions for the musical “Kinky Boots” on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 2 and 3 at 7 p.m. Prepare one minute or 16 bars of music and dress comfortably in shoes for dancing. 8. Lawndale Museum in Rockledge
Lawndale Museum, 1219 Rockledge Drive, is open for community visits and information tours each Saturday from 10a.m. to 3 p.m. This elegant, authentically decorated home and beautiful outdoor environment was completed in 1880. 9. Live theater around Brevard
- ‘Becky’s New Car’: The play “Becky’s New Car” is at Melbourne Civic Theatre, 817 E. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne, through Feb. 23. Becky Foster is caught in middle age with no prospects for change until a socially inept and grief-struck millionaire stumbles into her life. Tickets are $35. Call 321-723-6935 or visit mymct.org.
- ‘My Fair Lady’: The show “My Fair Lady” is at the Henegar Center, 625 E. New Haven Ave., Melbourne, through Feb. 9. Eliza Doolittle is a flower seller with a Cockney accent which keeps her in the lower rungs of society. - ‘Jersey Boys’: The show “Jersey Boys” is at Titusville Playhouse, 301 Julia Street, through Feb. 23. This musical takes audiences behind the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons to discover the secret of a 40-year friendship as the foursome work their way from the streets of New Jersey to the heights of stardom.
