Zoe Saldaña certainly has a lot to celebrate, and she’s doing it with the people she loves most.
This week, the Harper’s Bazaar’s February 2025 cover star earned her very first Oscar nomination, claiming a spot in the Best Actress in a Supporting Role category for her performance as lawyer Rita Mora Castro in the musical crime drama Emilia Pérez. The news comes a few weeks after Saldaña won her first Golden Globe in the same category.
To celebrate her numerous accomplishments—including pulling off this Saint Laurent lace dress—the actor shared a playful carousel post to Instagram. In the roundup of snaps, Saldaña can be seen cuddling up to her family, enjoying a meal with friends, and posing with a cake seemingly decorated by her husband, Marco Perego-Saldaña, and their three children. “How today feels :-),” she captioned the post on Thursday, the same day as her Oscar nomination.
The Avatar actor kicked off her carousel post with a photo of herself grinning ear-to-ear, surrounded by her twins Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio, 10, as well as her youngest son Zen, 8. All four of them wear festive party hats decorated with yellow pom-poms, and Saldaña holds up her phone as she presumably calls someone to let them know the good news. Saldaña followed up with an animation of Emilia Pérez’s whopping 13 Oscar nominations, including her co-star Karla Sofía Gascón’s nomination for Best Actress. She also shared more candid reactions to her own nomination, including a cute photo of her posing with her mother and a video of her dancing alongside her husband and their kids. The actor looked visibly moved in several snaps.
Lots of cake was involved too, although Saldaña seemed to save the sweetest version of the treat for last. The final image in her roundup saw her posing with all three of her children in her arms and her husband by her side, as a frosted chocolate cake sits on the table. “We are so proud,” the dessert reads in DIY-style frosting.
