Recently, in an exclusive chat with Telly Talk, social media personality Faisal, aka Mr Faisu, broke the silence on the rumours that celebrities are not cooking the food for real on the show.
Mr Faisu talks about Celebrity Masterchef
Talking about what he is going to cook today, he told us, “Aaj banne wala hai green chicken salad. Kaafi badiya aur mazedaar banane waale hai. Kyu hum logo ko rumours sunne mein aa rahe hai ki hum log real content nahi de rahe hain yahan pe. Peeche se khaana aajata hai, woh logo ki assumptions hai. Ho bhi sakta hai, kyunki celebrities se zyada expectations nahi hoti hain khaano ke liye. But ye jo Celebrity Masterchef hai, kaafi badiya hai aur fun hai. Iske saath hum real mein khaana banane waale hain. Toh hum log aap logo ko dikhane waale hain, banakar khud se. Aap logo ko taste bhi karaenge, aapse puchenge bhi ki humne kaisa banaya.”
(Loose translation: “Today, we are making a green chicken salad. It’s going to be really good and delicious. We’ve been hearing rumours that we’re not sharing real content here. People assume that the food just arrives from the back, but that’s just their assumption. Maybe they don’t expect much when it comes to food from celebrities. But this Celebrity Masterchef is really amazing and fun. Today, we’re actually going to cook real food. We will show you how we make it ourselves. And we’ll also let you taste it and ask you how it turned out.”)
On the journey from content creation to cooking
For the unversed, Mr Faisu started his journey as a salesperson selling deodorants and aimed to be an entrepreneur. Later, he found his passion for content creation and is now one of the country’s most loved influencers. During the conversation, he talked about his journey from being a content creator to cooking.
Calling it a huge change, Mr. Faisu quipped, “As a content creator, it was all about having an idea, doing something fun, and creating it. But jumping into a completely different genre and aiming to become a proper chef is really challenging. It’s tough even for me. But it’s also a lot of fun. The best part is that we’re doing it, and it’s happening.”
Meanwhile, the much-awaited show is going to premiere on Sony TV on January 27, airing every Monday to Friday at 8 PM. You can also watch the show on SonyLIV.
