After a breakout 2024 that included his Grand Ole Opry debut and a strong start at country radio, Bryce Leatherwood is keeping the momentum going in 2025. The Mercury Nashville recording artist has just released his latest single ‘Where The Bar Is’ giving fans another preview of his highly anticipated debut album, set to drop this spring.
“When I first heard the demo for this song, it got stuck in my head immediately,” shared Leatherwood. “It took me back to playing gigs at Georgia Southern and hanging out in the same bars we’d perform in. It’s definitely a song I’d have a beer with, both then and now, and I’m so excited for y’all to hear it!”
A Country Anthem for Late Nights
Written by Chase McGill, Cole Taylor, Michael Carter, and Shane Minor ‘Where The Bar Is’ fuses country and rock in a high-energy tribute to nights spent unwinding with good friends and cold beer after a long work week. The catchy chorus captures the vibe perfectly:
Beer’s where the bar is
Bar’s where my card is
Card’s where my 40 hours
Working real hard is
Working real hard is
Not where my heart is
My heart’s here
‘Cause beer’s where the bar is
The new track follows Leatherwood’s debut single, ‘Hung Up on You,’ which made waves at country radio as the most-added single during its release week. That song continues to climb the charts.
From Small-Town Dreams to National Stardom
A native of Woodstock, Georgia, Leatherwood began his journey into country music in eighth grade, inspired by his father’s Conway Twitty Greatest Hits CD. During college in Statesboro, Georgia, he formed a band, blending country covers with influences like Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and The Allman Brothers Band.
His passion for performing led him to audition for NBC’s The Voice, where he won Season 22 in 2022. Following his victory, Leatherwood signed with Morris Higham Management and later inked a record deal with Republic Records and Mercury Nashville in 2023.
A Rising Star to Watch
Last year, Leatherwood wrapped up his first headlining Neon Does Tour, performed at CMA Fest, and was named a 2024 Artist to Watch by Music Mayhem and Country Now, solidifying his reputation as a next-generation traditionalist blending classic and contemporary country sounds.
Upcoming Concerts
Leatherwood is currently on tour, with stops scheduled across the U.S., including shows in Idaho, Oregon, and Michigan, as well as a series of California dates in March and May.
