Trace’s latest messages come just days after the musician—who is older brother to Miley Cyrus, 32, as well as Brandi Cyrus, 37, Braison Cyrus, 30, and Noah Cyrus, 24—spoke out about his dad’s performance at President Donald Trump’s inauguration, which caused chatter amongst fans.
“Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away,” Trace wrote, in part, in a Jan. 22 Instagram post. “As I write this with tears in my eyes, I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon. I don’t know what you’re struggling with exactly but I think I have a pretty good idea & I’d love to help you if you would open up and receive the help. You know how to reach me.”
In the days since, Billy Ray’s ex Firerose has also spoken out, sharing that “what’s being seen in public now reflects much of what I experienced in private during our relationship.”
“It’s very sad to see those same struggles continue for him,” she told Page Six Jan. 23, “but I’m glad the truth is coming to light.”
However, Trace’s brother Braison—who is collaborating with the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer for his latest album—shared his thoughts on his family’s public rift, telling People Jan. 25, “I don’t have any bad feelings toward anyone in my family.”
