Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing allegations of abusive behavior towards Kim Porter in a shocking new documentary. The four-part series titled “The Fall Of Diddy” premiered on Investigation Discovery this past Monday, featuring fresh interviews with insiders familiar with the music mogul.
Journalist Danyel Smith, who appeared on the show, recounted a “shocking” episode at a nightclub where Combs reportedly began yelling at Porter. The couple had an intermittent relationship from 1994 until 2007 and share three children.
While Smith did not pinpoint the date of the incident, she described it occurring during a girls’ night out. “I’ve seen him act in ways around Kim that were just awful and very mean,” Smith disclosed in the documentary.
She also mentioned her close acquaintance with Porter, saying: “I knew her [Kim] well enough to occasionally socialize with her. It was a last minute girls’ night, Kim Porter and some other girlfriends.”
According to Smith, Combs unexpectedly showed up at the club, initially giving the impression he was there to join the fun. However, Smith said: “I really thought he was coming in to kick it. I thought he was about to squeeze into the booth… but everything just turned on a dime,” reports the Mirror US.
His legal team told the Mirror US: “These documentaries are rushing to cash in on the media circus surrounding Mr. Combs. The producers failed to provide sufficient time or details for his representatives to address unsubstantiated claims, many from unidentified participants whose allegations lack context.”
They added: “By withholding this information, they made it impossible for Mr. Combs to present facts to counter these fabricated accusations. This production is clearly intended to present a one-sided and prejudicial narrative. As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every publicity stunt or facially ridiculous claim. He has full confidence in the facts and the judicial process, where the truth will prevail: the accusations against him are pure fiction.”
The Mirror US has reached out to Combs’ attorneys for additional comments.
Diddy has previously addressed rumors of being abusive towards Porter, categorically denying them.
A book, touted as Porter’s memoir, made allegations of him being abusive towards his former girlfriend. However, Combs’ legal team and his children vehemently denied the book’s claims, labeling them as “fake” and “offensive.”
The controversial book was subsequently withdrawn from sale.
