Paul Walter Hauser and his wife are expanding their family!
In a joint post on Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 28, the Black Bird actor, 38, and his wife Amy Boland Hauser announced the exciting news with a picture of a sonogram sitting atop a cream-colored onesie with the words “grand finale” in rainbow letters printed on the front.
Along with the announcement picture, the couple shared photos of their sons Harris, 3, and Jonah, 21 months, donning similar shirts, this time printed with the phrases “the original” and “the sequel,” respectively.
“We’re excited to share that the Hauser Family ‘Grand Finale’ will arrive late summer 2025!” the couple wrote. “Thank you, Jesus! For this child we have prayed. – 1 Samuel 1:27.”

While Hauser stars in many big films, his most meaningful role is being a father. Hauser intends to be “around for a long time for my kids and my wife,” he told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview in May 2024.
Maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle is “incredibly important to me,” he said, adding that in the past “it’s also been very elusive, very hard for me.”
The Hausers married in July 2020, before welcoming their son Harris in 2021. Two years later, the couple added their son Jonah to the family. The couple separated briefly after the birth of their older son but rekindled their marriage in May 2022.
“Celebrating our 2 Year Anniversary when we rejoined as husband and wife on May 14, 2022,” the actor wrote in a post on Instagram. “We have to celebrate. God brought us through so much, and He continues to. Anytime God is bringing you THROUGH something, He is also bringing you TO something.”
“So here is to our first vows taken on July 23rd, which brought us the gift of Harris – and here is to our final vows taken on May 14, which has brought immeasurably more than we could ask, think or imagine,” he added. “I love you my Amy. Thank you for loving me so well. Thank you for helping me, (as you would say), “dance through life”. You’re a wonderful dance partner ❤️.”
