Discussing the break up on podcast Call Her Daddy, Kirkconnell told listeners and host Alex Cooper that she was on a flight when she found out the news. She explained: “Literally the plane is taking off and I see his post, and that’s it. I don’t have any service or anything for the next 12 hours, so I’m freaking out because, you know, just got broken up with, and now, a few hours later, it’s for the whole world to see and I’m still trying to process it.”
She continued: “I’m still in total shock. I think that’s why I didn’t say anything. Still haven’t made a statement or anything because I’m processing this just like everyone else is.”
James’ shared a throwback photo of their first meeting at the iconic Bachelor mansion as he then revealed the couple had ended their romance. His caption read: “Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts. Give us a peace about this decision to end our relationship that transcends worldly understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord.”
Fans have been left stunned by the shock split, with many commenting on James’ post wish some even wondering if his account had been hacked. Others thought the breakup might have been fake as James had posted a video of the pair trying out a pizza place during a date night in London.

Kirkconnell revealed the post came as a shock as she believed that they were “on the same page, privately and publicly”.
She added that they had even been discussing marriage as she added: “We talked about rings, he told me a few months ago to start saving some things, picking things out.”
The breakup appears to be final, with Kirkconnell telling TMZ as she boarded a flight at LAX that they were ‘done’.
She said: “Things will start to come out and I’ll speak about it whenever I’m ready, but for now, I’m just protecting my peace,” she said, before confirming there was “no” infidelity involved in the split and that there’s “no” chance they’d get back together. “No. Yeah, we’re out.”
