The Southmont annual Show Choir Invitational takes place Saturday at Southmont High School’s auditorium beginning at 8 a.m.
This event, hosted by the Southmont High School Booster Club, features 14 show choirs from across Illinois and Indiana. These talented high school choir students will take you on a journey of song and dance as they compete for awards including best vocals, choreography, best soloists and overall show performance.
The preliminary competition begins at 8 a.m. and continues throughout the morning and afternoon. Judging during the preliminary competition determines the show choirs that appear in the finals in the evening. The show includes exhibition performances by Southmont Sudden Impulse and Young Originals directed by Sarah Fadil.
Tickets are available for purchase at the door the day of the event. Concessions and retail items are available for sale, and tickets are also available at the door.
