FLINT, MI — The 2025 Flint Drop Fest lineup features a pioneer of dubstep — Emalkay.
The English dubstep producer and DJ is best known for his 2009 single “When I Look At You.”
He will perform alongside numerous local, regional and national DJs and producers this coming weekend.
The electronic music and arts festival will take place on Saturday, Aug. 9 in downtown Flint.
Music will fill the streets of downtown from noon to 10 p.m. Flint Drop Fest is free and open to all ages.
The grassroots event is celebrating its 13th year.
“We work very hard all year long to bring something unique, vibrant and exciting to downtown Flint,” Founder and Executive Director Jerin Sage said in a statement. “(We) hope the community enjoys what we have in store for the 13th annual Flint Drop Fest.”
Additional performers set to appear include BBUMPZ, DJ Nautic, Sonic Femme, FINGAROWL, Dizzy Disco, DJ EMILY, and several others.

DJs and producers will perform at 10 different locations throughout downtown Flint between Kearsley Street and Second Street.
Parking is available on the street or in the Rutherford Parking Garage, located at 125 West Kearsley Street.
Numerous food trucks and other vendors will also be set up during the event.
