JP Saxe, the grammy-nominated singer behind “If the World Was Ending,” has canceled his North American tour due to low ticket sales.
Saxe announced the news in a post on Instagram on Aug. 1.
“Over the last few days, we sold a few thousand extra tickets and I am beyond grateful to every one of you who bought one,” Saxe said in the post. “…But what those tickets are not is enough to save this tour.”

The Make Yourself At Home tour was set to start next month with stops in the U.S. and Canada.
Saxe posted a video on Instagram on July 28 saying the tour would be canceled if he didn’t sell thousands of more tickets in the next 48 hours. “I hold on to a sliver of hope that I will see you in the Fall,” he said in the video.
Although the video did not save the tour, Saxe said he was blown away by the response to the post.
“Those few thousand tickets are a reminder that being transparent in failure sometimes can be more powerful than the facade of success,” Saxe reflected.
