Jelly Roll Announces 2025 Headlining Australian Tour Dates

Jelly Roll has formally detailed his first-ever headlining shows in Australia, a week after he was announced as the headliner for the inaugural Strummingbird Festival in Perth, Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast. The multi-platinum American pop-country singer will now play his own arena shows in Sydney and Melbourne, with details of an additional Adelaide show still to come. Roll will be supported at his headlining shows by fellow American country singers Shaboozey and Drew Baldridge, both of whom were also announced on the Strummingbird line-up last week and who are also making their Australian debuts. The former is touring in support of his third studio album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going. It was released in May 2024 as part of what proved to be a banner year for the Virginia native, whose song ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ became the longest-running number-one song of all time on the Billboard Hot 100 at 19 weeks – a record he shares with Lil Nas X, who achieved the same feat with his 2019 hit ‘Old Town Road’. ‘A Bar Song’ topped the charts in ten different countries, including Australia – where it is now certified quintuple platinum by ARIA.

Baldridge, meanwhile, has been releasing music since he was in his early 20s. After achieving only minor success in the 2010s, the Patoka native was dropped by his label in 2019. He re-emerged in 2023 with a re-recording of his song ‘She’s Somebody’s Daughter’, which saw him make his debut on the Billboard Hot 100. Since then, Baldridge has toured through North America with Bailey Zimmerman and Cody Johnson, as well as appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show as musical guest.

Jelly Roll’s Australian debut comes in support of his 10th studio album, Beautifully Broken. Released last October, the album became the Tennessee native’s first chart-topper on the Billboard 200. The album has produced two platinum-selling singles, ‘I Am Not Okay’ and ‘Liar’, which both reached the top five of the Billboard Country Charts. Outside of music, Roll recently made his professional wrestling debut, teaming with Randy Orton to face influencer Logan Paul and Scottish wrestler Drew McIntyre in a tag-team grudge match at this year’s WWE SummerSlam event in East Rutherford.
