A woman who once worked closely with the Royal Family has shared her insights about Prince Harry‘s demeanor.
Ailsa Anderson, former press secretary for Queen Elizabeth II, spoke candidly about Prince Harry‘s behavior prior to his departure from his senior Royal role and subsequent move to LA with his wife, Meghan Markle.
In the new Channel 5 documentary Prince Harry: My Terrible Year, the show delves into the shockwaves sent by Harry’s explosive BBC interview following the rejection of his request for UK-funded security.
The narrator noted, “This side of Prince Harry is unfamiliar to those who have worked closely with him,” as Ailsa, who had known Prince Harry since his youth, stated, “My engagement and my experience with Prince Harry has only been positive.
“He is very warm and very engaging and kind, so only fond memories of him, truly. I think potentially it is almost a crossroads for him now, what does he do next?”
Later in the episode, Ailsa criticized Prince Harry‘s tell-all interview as “too impulsive,” blaming his team for providing poor advice.
She pointed out that the Royal family boasts a “really fantastic” team of advisors and diplomats, which Harry would have been accustomed to.
She also delivered a harsh critique after Harry discussed King Charles’ health and their family feud, suggesting that his frank comments may have jeopardized his family’s trust.
She hinted at fears within the family that welcoming him back could lead to the leakage of “private information would then be leaked.

In response to whether there’s a possibility for King Charles and Prince Harry to mend their relationship, Ailsa offered some tough love to Harry, stating, “Stop being the victim and start being the hero of the piece, start writing your own script.
“I think people are just getting a little bit tired of how Prince Harry thinks the world is against him and how awful his life is.”
