Country music star Carly Pearce had to be rushed to the hospital after an incident involving a bottle of ranch dressing.
Carly had been performing live in Butler, Ohio, for The VOA Country Music Festival just before she had to dash to the emergency room on August 7.
Carly, 35, revealed to fans following her TikTok account what had happened and how she unexpectedly ended up in the hospital.
She admitted that she had been trying to open a bottle of ranch dressing when she somehow sliced open her thumb and found herself not initially realizing what was going on.
She said, “All of a sudden, I thought that ketchup was running down my hand, and it actually was blood.”
Carly admitted her relief at it not being a more serious situation, but that it was still not an enjoyable experience.
She said, “The stitches are right in the crease of my thumb. So I’m kinda figuring out how to do things, not the way that I would. My assistant almost had to shave my left armpit because I didn’t think I could reach it.”
The singer also holds her microphone in her right hand when she is performing – which is the one that is cut.
She then joked about her way of going about things causing the damage as she concluded, “But it’s interesting trying to do those normal things like pull your pants up after you pee.
“So the moral to the story is be careful opening things and don’t go like my mother says, like I do, like a bull in a china cabinet.”
