Exciting Bob Dylan News Has Fans Freaking Out originally appeared on Parade.
It’s no exaggeration to say that Bob Dylan is one of the most beloved musicians of all time, and music lovers have been flocking to see the 84-year-old legend on the road this summer with the Outlaw Music Festival (also featuring Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow). So it’s no surprise that fans are freaking out over a recent announcement involving an upcoming stop on the blockbuster tour.
A recent reel shared by Dylan’s official Instagram account broke the exciting news about a contest featuring a pretty incredible prize: The “ultimate Bob Dylan concert experience for two.”
As the text overlay on a black-and-white video of Dylan performing explained, fans can enter to win “tickets to Outlaw Music Festival with flights and hotel included,” for the tour’s stop on at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey, on Sept. 13.
“Would ❤️ love to go!” one person gushed, with a second adding, “Yesss please.”
“This is a bucket list trip for us. Thank you for the chance,” someone else wrote, with another commenter declaring, “This would be a dream come true. To honor my dad who was such a huge Dylan fan, which made me like his music too! Dad passed in 2015.”
“Oh my Bob. I adore him 💕,” raved yet another fan.
While it’s not clear from the post (or Dylan’s official website) how fans can enter to win the contest, local radio stations across the country have been holding similar contests since the Outlaw Music Festival started, so interested fans should keep on the lookout for details (and since flights and hotel are included in the prize, location shouldn’t be an issue). One thing’s for sure: This would truly be the experience of a lifetime.
