Sally Field’s son, Sam Greisman, didn’t mince words when he saw that Kim Davis is back in the news again.
Davis is a former Kentucky clerk who served jail time after refusing to grant same-sex couples marriage licenses in 2015.
She was also ordered to pay compensation to a gay couple she refused. Now, Davis is filing an appeal about the compensation and formally asking the Supreme Court to overturn its landmark ruling protecting same-sex marriage.
Greisman, who is gay, wasn’t having any of it, and quote-tweeted a Pop Crave tweet about Davis’ news on Monday.
“The Supreme Court has been formally asked to overturn its landmark same-sex marriage ruling,” the tweet, shared by Pop Crave’s X account, said. “Kim Davis, who was jailed for six days for refusing to issue a marriage license to a gay couple, has filed an appeal in her case.”
Greisman simply wrote, “Not this hideous bitch again.”
A rep for Davis said that “Sam’s childish post does not deserve a response” when reached for comment by Entertainment Weekly.
Greisman, a film producer and Field’s youngest son, has made headlines before for his tweets.
In addition to Greisman, 37, Field has two other sons: Peter Craig, 55, and Elliot Craig, who is 53.
The Oscar-winning actress has opened up about how having children “saved” her life.
“Having my first son, Peter … first of all, I wasn’t alone anymore,” Field said during an appearance on Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ podcast, “Wiser Than Me,” last year. “I was so young. I was just 23.”
“There was something in me that felt so fiercely about him that I felt ‘if I can take care of him, I can take care of myself. And goddamn it, I’m going to take care of him. I don’t care if I go down,’” she said. “It started to connect with a fierceness in me that I didn’t recognize.”
