(WJW) – Taylor Swift has officially announced and revealed the release date for her long-awaited 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
“The Life of a Showgirl” will officially be released on October 3, according to Taylor Swift, who made the announcement on the popular “New Heights” podcast, her first appearance on the show.

The podcast is hosted by Swift’s boyfriend, Northeast Ohio native Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, alongside his brother, former Eagles center Jason Kelce.
On Tuesday, the podcast announced that Swift would appear on the Wednesday episode, alongside a teaser video that shows her pulling a blurred-out album from a briefcase. The album artwork was also spotted on her website also blurred out at the time.
A special limited vinyl edition of the album will be released in “Portofino orange glitter,” according to a pre-order page on her site. A special cassette edition is also available for pre-order.
“The Life of a Showgirl” is Swift’s first album after her 2024 release of “The Tortured Poets Department.” It is also the first album to be released since she regained control over her entire body of work.

Kelce and Swift have been officially dating since October 2023. In July, the couple was seen visiting JoJo’s Bar, a restaurant in Chagrin Falls. Kelce has close ties to Northeast Ohio. He grew up in Cleveland Heights and attended Cleveland Heights High School along with his brother, Jason Kelce.
