Taylor Swift recently joined her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, on an episode of the podcast “New Heights.” When his brother and the show’s co-host, Jason Kelce, asked the footballer about his favorite thing “this summer.” He replied, “Taylor reclaiming her masters.” Adding to that, the pop icon felt emotional and mentioned how she was devastated thinking about “not owning my music every day.”
Then, she narrated the moment when she found out about the good news. They were in Kansas City, and Swift’s mother called her and said, “You got your music.” The songwriter got emotional while explaining the moment; fortunately, Kelce was by her side, comforting her during this podcast segment.
The 35-year-old continued that she had “very dramatically hit the floor” and broken down. Somehow, she calmed down and called for her boyfriend, who saw Swift “bawling” her eyes out. He got nervous thinking something was wrong. But then, the “Shake It Off” hitmaker told him that she got “all my music back.”
Agreeing to Swift’s commentary, Kelce added that his girlfriend was “deadweight.” The power couple laughed it out, revealing that Swift lost control of her legs and dropped to the floor again. Jason intervened, saying that fans were also cheering for her. Swift acknowledged the fact and mentioned that they were the reason that helped her buy back her music.
For those unversed, Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings had bought her first six studio albums in 2019. Later, a private equity firm, Shamrock Capital, purchased the discography. This year, the Grammy Award-winning artist reportedly bought the masters for an estimated $360 million.
