Connecticut-formed jam band Goose released a surprise album at midnight on Thursday.
“Chain Yer Dragon” is the second album Goose has released in 2025. In April, the band released its 14-track LP “Everything Must Go.”
In addition to “Madalena,” Goose’s new album also features songs that the band has performed in several of its live shows, as well as songs from Goose’s vocalist and guitarist Rick Mitarotonda’s band Vasudo. “Turbulence & The Night Rays,” “Jed Stone,” “Empress of Organos,” “Rockdale,” “Hot Love & The Lazy Poet” and “Factory Fiction.”
Goose formed in Wilton in 2014 with current members Mitarotonda and bassist Trevor Weekz. Goose also includes guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist Peter Anspach and drummer Cotter Ellis.
