Oakland First Fridays seeks sponsors as funding challenges force entertainment cuts

Even though August is only halfway over, it’s already shaping up to be a month of big releases — but which one is your favorite of the week?

Cardi B leads the charge with the release of “Imaginary Playerz,” the latest taste of her upcoming album Am I the Drama? that the rapper accompanied with a luxury-packed music video. The fiery track finds the Bronx native in true form, flexing her riches and it-girl status while boasting, “Fixin’ y’all mouth to talk fashion with me/ I’m the one who showed these girls what fashion could be.”

More from Billboard

Also in the hip-hop world, Chance the Rapper released Star Line, finally giving fans a new album after a six-year wait. The 17-track effort features collaborations with Lil Wayne, Young Thug and Jazmine Sullivan, making for a star-studded follow-up to the Chicago icon’s 2019 LP The Big Day.

But that was just one of several LPs that arrived this week, with Dijon’s Baby, Kaytranada’s Ain’t No Damn Way! and Jordan Davis’ Learn the Hard Way all hitting streaming services on Friday (Aug. 15), while Conan Gray’s Wishbone dropped the day prior. Plus, Olivia Dean dropped a gorgeous new single titled “Man I Need,” reasserting why she’s one of pop’s biggest rising stars a month and a half ahead of the release of sophomore album The Art of Loving.

And while that’s certainly a lot of new music to get through, Billboard still wants to know which song or album you think is the best. From Cardi to Chance and everything else in between, vote for your favorite release of the week in the poll below.
