BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKYPAC) and its resident company, Ramsey Theatre Company, are launching a new touring theatre program.
The program, AcTOURS, delivers professional live performances directly to schools.
The inaugural 2025 tour will feature Vexing Verses, a 45-minute original play inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe, created for middle and high school audiences. According to the release, the production is designed to adapt to a variety of performance spaces and meets the square footage requirements of most school stages and gyms.
Performances of Vexing Verses include a post-show discussion with the cast, allowing students to explore literary themes, character choices, and story structure. The program supports literacy, critical thinking, and creative expression, and aligns with National Core Arts Standards.
“Traveling to SKYPAC for an event may take three hours out of an educator’s school day. AcTOURS will help teachers retain their valuable classroom time while adding a comprehensive educational experience for their school,” said Dillon Godolphin, Director of Education, in a release.
Bookings are now open for the 2025 tour, which will run from Sept. 22 through Oct. 28. For booking information, spacing requirements, or tour dates, visit TheSKYPAC.com or contact Dillon Godolphin at [email protected].
