Whether you’re a “Star Wars” fanatic or a Minecraft gamer, nerds of all kinds will soon be flocking to Atlanta for this year’s Dragon Con. For those who haven’t been, it’s Georgia’s own Comic Con complete with fun events, a ton of unique merchandise, and cosplayers everywhere.
There will also be a ton of celebrities taking pictures with fans, signing autographs, and participating in panels. Here are some of the featured guests:
Vincent D’Onofrio
Longtime actor in multiple major projects with roles like Pvt. Pyle in “Full Metal Jacket,” the Edgar the alien-possessed antagonist of “Men in Black,” and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Wilson Fisk starting with “Daredevil” TV series.
Yaya Han
World-renowned cosplayer, costume designer, and model with close to 2 million followers on Facebook. She has also been known to judge others’ costumes on shows like “Heroes of Cosplay” and “King of the Nerds.”
Katee Sackhoff
Actress probably best known for her role as Kara “Starbuck” Thrace in the “Battlestar Galactica” franchise. She is also known for her roles as Bo-Katan Kryze in the “Star Wars franchise, Marie Russell in “Oculus,” and Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti in the Netflix series “Longmire.”
John Boyega
Actor known best for his role in the last “Star Wars” trilogy as Finn. Most recently, he starred in Netflix’s film “They Cloned Tyrone” and voiced Slash in an episode of Netflix’s “Love, Death & Robots.”

Christopher Lloyd
Emmy-winning actor probably best known as Doc Brown in the “Back to the Future” trilogy. He also famously played Uncle Fester in the 1990’s “Addams Family” movies, Judge Doom in “Who Framed Roger Rabbit,” and Taber in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.”
Simon Pegg
Writer and star of beloved movies like “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz.” He also played Scotty in the J.J. Abrams “Star Trek” trilogy and Benji in the “Mission Impossible” franchise.

William Shatner
Longtime actor, writer, and executive producer best known for his role as the first James Kirk in the “Star Trek” franchise. He won Emmys and a Golden Globe for playing Denny Crane in the ABC series “The Practice” and its spinoff “Boston Legal.”

When is Dragon Con 2025?
Dragon Con is slated for Thursday, Aug. 28 through Monday, Sep. 1.
Where is Dragon Con 2025?
Dragon Con is spread out in downtown Atlanta at five host hotels including the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Atlanta Hilton, Sheraton Atlanta, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, and the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel in downtown Atlanta. Also, gaming, vendors, and artist alley is at AmericasMart Buildings 2 and 3.
How much are tickets for Dragon Con 2025?
Daily tickets range from $35 to $75 depending on the day. A pass for the whole convention is available for $175. There is also a lifetime pass available for $4,500.
