Fans can apply for audience tickets now
Now we know which 15 celebrities will be taking part in the 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing, excitement is building ahead of the glitzy show’s return! With series 21 due to begin next month, the start date has now been confirmed, as details about audience tickets for the live shows have emerged.
When does Strictly begin?
The 2025 series of Strictly is due to begin on Saturday 20th September, with a pre-recorded launch show where fans will meet this year’s celebrities and professional dancers.
The first live show of the series will then air on Saturday 27th September, with no celebs being voted off in the first week. The first elimination will take place during the first results show on Sunday 5th October.
As ever, the results shows will be filmed on Saturday night, but will not air until the Sunday evening.
When do they go to Blackpool?
This year, the cast and crew will head to the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Saturday 22nd November.
When is the final?
The final is scheduled to take place on Saturday 20th December, just five days before Christmas Day.
Can I get tickets?
Fans can apply in a random draw for tickets to Strictly Come Dancing up until 10pm on Tuesday 2nd September.
You can apply for a maximum of one pair of tickets per show. You can apply for as many dates as you wish but if you are successful in the random draw you will only receive tickets for one date.

Balvinder Sopal
Best known for: EastEnders star
Balvinder said: “Being on Strictly is a dream that I held on to, with no proof that it would ever happen. Working on EastEnders and being a part of Strictly Come Dancing is the stuff that dreams are made of. I’m far too excited to put into words how I feel but I’m incredibly excited at the prospect of dancing across the ballroom!”
George Clark
Best known for: YouTuber, podcaster and social media
George said: “Never thought I’d say this… but I’m doing Strictly! Honestly, I’ve got no idea what I’m doing but I’m excited to get stuck in… and potentially fall over a fair bit.”
La Voix
Best known for: Drag Queen
La Voix said: “I’ve performed for royalty, RuPaul and Simon Cowell, but nothing fills me with more excitement (and quite a bit of terror) than the thought of dancing in front of millions on live Saturday night TV. Chris Robshaw
Best known for: Former England Rugby player

Ellie Goldstein

Ellie said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be joining the cast and pros of Strictly Come Dancing this year. Thomas Skinner

Vicky Pattison
Best known for: TV personality and reality star
Vicky said: “‘I’m absolutely buzzing to be part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing lineup… but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified. I am a not a natural dancer! However, it’s such an amazing opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and to challenge myself in a completely new way and I just really hope I don’t make too much of a fool of myself!”

Ross said: “From the bright lights of Hollywood to the glittering ballroom – it’s a dream come true to be part of such an iconic show. I can’t wait to learn from the best, meet my fellow contestants, and, most importantly… try not to step on too many toes! Let’s give this the best that I can! As my mum always said: “You’ll never know till you give it a go!”
Karen Carney
Best known for: Former footballer and TV pundit
Karen said: “It really is a dream come true to be a part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line up. I’m such a huge fan of the show and I can’t believe I’m finally getting the chance to take part. I’m so excited to meet everyone and get dancing!”
Kristian Nairn
Best known for: DJ and actor
Kristian said: “This will be a huge challenge for me physically, but I’m ready to rise to it! It’s a surreal and wonderful opportunity to shed one of my left feet!”
Earlier this year bosses confirmed that 18 professional dancers will return to the show, including fan favourites such as Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola.
Two brand new dancers will also feature in the form of Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon, whilst Gorka Márquez has revealed he won’t have a partner this year, due to filming the Spanish version of the show.
Rehearsals for the show are set to begin in the coming weeks, with Strictly Come Dancing returning to BBC One in September.
