Chris Martin is determined to keep the kiss cam as part of Coldplay’s tour, despite it accidentally bringing an affair to light last month.
On Monday, August 18, the band kicked off the UK leg of the Music of the Spheres tour, playing a show at Craven Park in Hull, England. During the concert, Martin, 48, read some signs from the audience and addressed the cheating scandal, according to NME.
“First of all [that sign reads:] ‘three times in three months’… You were at that Boston gig!” the seven-time Grammy Award winner exclaimed per the outlet. “Well, OK, thank you for coming again after that debacle.”
Martin explained that one bad incident involving the kiss cam isn’t going to put a stop to the tradition.

“We’ve been doing [the kiss cam on the Jumbotron] a long time and it is only recently that it became a…yeah,” Martin remarked, according to NME.
“Life throws you lemons and you’ve got to make lemonade,” he added. “So, we are going to keep doing it because we are going to meet some of you.”
As Star previously reported, it was revealed that Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his chief of Human Resources, Kristin Cabot, were having an affair after the pair were spotted cuddling via kiss cam footage at Coldplay’s concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
