While Meghann Fahy grew up in Massachusetts, there’s one local destination the Emmy-nominated actress did not visit until much later in life.
The Longmeadow native recently told Seth Meyers she couldn’t afford to go to Nantucket until she got a role in Netflix’s “The Perfect Couple,” which aired in 2024.
While the mystery series was mostly filmed on Cape Cod, Fahy used her downtime to take a ferry over to the island.
“We pull in, and immediately I was like, ‘Oh! That’s why I’ve never been to Nantucket,’” Fahy told Meyers. “I was too poor then, and I am still too poor now. This place is crazy.”
Meyers, who grew up in Bedford, New Hampshire, then told Fahy that he’s a frequent visitor to nearby Martha’s Vineyard.
“You look like you go there,” Fahy shot back at the late night host.
“I like how you’re answering my ‘Are you a classic New Englander?’ by the way you’re asking these questions,” Meyers replied.
All joke aside, Meyers gave Fahy an open invite to visit him and his family on Martha’s Vineyard.
“It’s not Nantucket,” Meyers said. “We’re way more laid back.”
