Now Deadline has reported, citing sources, that Calo has left the project, and Netflix has not yet named a replacement writer.
According to the media outlet, Netflix has been exploring the adaptation of Swan Song as a potential follow-up to The Perfect Couple. The story follows the Richardsons, who purchase a $22 million summer home on Nantucket, host extravagant parties, flaunt their wealth with two yachts, and attract attention from locals before scandal erupts when their home burns down and a key employee disappears.
The Perfect Couple Season 2 still not officially confirmed by Netflix
Despite ongoing development, Netflix has not confirmed a second season of The Perfect Couple. A representative for the streamer reportedly declined to comment on Swan Song or its chances of becoming Season 2.
The first season of The Perfect Couple, based on Elin Hilderbrand’s novel, premiered on September 5, 2024.
