The summer tourist season is slowly winding down, with college students already leaving area beaches to prepare for school. Those who remain, however, will find there are still a lot of entertainment options awaiting them at area concert venues.
Ocean City’s Seacrets has a red hot tribute show
In Ocean City, Seacrets has a show this week that will make you want to read the fine print. The Red Not Chili Peppers are definitely not the legendary funk-rock quartet the Red Hot Chili Peppers — but they will pay tribute to them inside the Morley Hall at 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24 ($10 or free with local ID). RNCP made national headlines in 2022 when a patron in Detroit accidentally bought a ticket thinking they were the real mccoy. A radio station heard about the controversy, and gifted the fan with free admittance to the the actual group’s massive stadium show there at Comerica Park.
Country concert, tribute acts keep the fun going at Bottle & Cork
Corey Kent, whose single “This Heart” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart last month, will play the Bottle & Cork nightclub in Dewey Beach on Thursday, Aug. 21.
In Dewey Beach, the Bottle & Cork nightclub has a country concert on tap this week, which will be followed by a pair of weekend tribute acts.
The fun begins with singer-guitarist Corey Kent, who will perform Thursday, Aug. 21. His single “This Heart” reached the coveted No. 1 position on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart last month. Kent will follow an 8 p.m. opening set by Adam Chaffins ($25).
The Cork will host its annual appearance by The Warped Tour Band: A Tribute to Emo/Pop-Punk at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22 ($25). This will be followed by Tell Me Lies: The Fleetwood Mac Experience at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24 ($30).

It’s all about yacht rock and jazz at Freeman venue
In Selbyville, the outdoor Freeman Arts Pavilion has two nights of music planned with very different styles. At 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, mellow-rock tribute Yachtley Crew will bring its “Seas The Day Tour” to the stage ($34, $44). Parents who bring their own chairs for the general admission section in the rear will be permitted to bring children 12 and under for free.
Freeman’s annual Arts & Jazz Festival is set for Friday, Aug. 22 with free admission as usual. Vibraphonist Joe Baione will kick off the festivities at 4 p.m.; the group Jazzy Blu plays at 5:15 p.m.; and the Lao Tizer Band closes things out at 6:45 p.m.
Burley Oak getting visit from surf rocker Donavon Frankenreiter
Southern California singer-songwriter Donavon Frankenreiter will perform at the Burley Oak Brewing Company in Berlin on Saturday, Aug. 23.
In Berlin, the Burley Oak Brewing Company will welcome the return of Southern California singer-songwriter Donavon Frankenreiter on Saturday, Aug. 23; the surf-rock troubadour will play following a 6 p.m. opening set by Christina Holmes ($35). Joey Harkum will play Burley Oak on Sunday, Aug. 24, after a 4 p.m. set by Ray Wroten ($20 in advance, $25 at the door).
Last but not least at Burley Oak, tickets are on sale for the final installment of the brewery’s Summer Of The Dead 2025 concert series; it will conclude with the band Lovelight jamming out at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 ($25).
