Dakota Johnson got into a playful exchange with her Splitsville star Nicholas Braun during a recent Q&A session, storming off in the process.
What happened during a recent Splitsville Q&A?
In a video shared on the Pop Culture Chat subreddit, Johnson and Braun were talking about their parts in the upcoming movie. At some point, a card trick that Braun had done in the movie was brought up. Johnson thought that Braun had practiced the trick for some time, but Braun revealed he had actually learned it the day of filming from writer Kyle Marvin.
Johnson couldn’t believe it, and stood up to argue with Braun. Johnson said she thought Braun learned the trick in advance and prepared it for weeks. After finding out he hadn’t, Johnson playfully spiked the microphone and walked off as the crowd laughed and cheered.
Splitsville is set to premiere in theaters on August 22, 2025. Alongside Johnson, the film stars Michael Angelo Covino Adria Arjona, Braun, David Castañeda, O-T Fagbenle, Charlie Gillespie, and more. The movie is directed by Covino, who also co-wrote the film alongside Kyle Marvin, both of whom star in the film.
