“We’re so sorry to share that due to illness, Hank Williams Jr. will be unable to perform the shows scheduled for Tulsa and Thackerville, OK,” a statement on his Instagram account read. “These dates will be rescheduled for later next month, and all tickets will be honored for the new dates.”

Williams Jr. announced that Friday’s show in Tulsa will be rescheduled for Sept. 19, and Saturday’s show in Thackerville will be rescheduled for Sept. 20.

“We regret any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your understanding and support,” the statement added. “We can’t wait to be back on stage with you soon.”

The 76-year-old is now next slated to perform on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at the Minnesota State Fair.

Fans and friends were quick to send well-wishes.

“Get well!!!” Brandi Davis wrote. “We have been super excited to see you Friday, but will gladly wait until next month. Your health is more important than our entertainment.”
