Louisiana singer Jourdan Blue’s next stop is “America’s Got Talent’s” Season 20 semi-finals.
Blue, 23, of New Orleans, learned the news during the NBC talent competition’s results show on Wednesday night. He joins acts LightWire and Sirca Marea as the first three advancing contestants after quarterfinal rounds, which began on Tuesday night’s first live show of the season — as well as the first time America was able to vote for their favorites.
Blue wowed the crowd and judges on Tuesday’s show with his performance of the Calum Scott hit, “Biblical.” Jaws dropped when Blue confirmed that he was dealing with a stomach illness at the time.

“This means everything to me and there wasn’t anything that was going to hold me back from that,” Blue said.
LightWire, founded in Brazil by two brothers, uses LED displays and light-up dance suits to create works of art.
Sirca Marea, a trapeze duo, includes Matias Cienfuegos of Spain and Micaela Leitner from Argentina.
Jourdan and the rest of the top 12 will return to compete Tuesday, Sept. 16, for one of seven spots in the finale.
“AGT” airs at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday on NBC, and also streams on Peacock the following day.
