Justin Bieber’s “Swag” album was reportedly to blame for the strain on his marriage to Hailey Bieber.
“The intense focus and emotional toll of creating new music had put a strain on their marriage,” a source close to the couple told Us Weekly in an article published Thursday.
The insider explained that Justin gets “completely consumed and shuts everything else out” when he’s creating new music in the studio.
The model, 28, and pop star, 31, reportedly feel a weight has been lifted after Justin’s seventh studio album debuted last month to positive reviews.
“There’s a sense of relief on both sides,” the source explained. “Justin’s behavior has been more relaxed.
“He felt a lot of pressure hanging over him and has been in a better mental headspace these last few weeks. He is very happy there have been positive reviews of the album and that fans like it.”
The Rhode Skin founder has allegedly been “very patient” with her husband amid his mental health struggles and “takes it day by day.”
“There’s still work to be done in their marriage,” the source clarified. “But they’re in a much better place.”
Since the release of the album, the couple has escaped to their “favorite” vacation spot in Idaho with their son, Jack Blues, where they have reportedly been able to “finally reconnect more.”
The “Sorry” artist’s child with Hailey will celebrate his first birthday on Friday, Aug. 22.
Justin sang about their marriage struggles in several songs on his new album, including his hits “Daisies” and “Walking Away.”
The Grammy winner also sparked concerns for his well-being after flaunting his alleged drug use.
However, Hailey denied that she and Justin were heading toward Splitsville in a May interview with Vogue.
“Well, I thought seven years in it would’ve [died down] already, and it hasn’t,” she said of the divorce rumors, by which they have been pummeled since their 2018 wedding.
Hailey continued, “You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no. So I guess these bitches are going to be mad.”
She and Justin started dating in 2016, tying the knot two years later. Last year, they renewed their vows while announcing her pregnancy with their first child.
