WHATMORE Drops New Track & Music Video “go!”

WHATMORE have officially released their latest single, “go!”, alongside an accompanying music video. The track marks the third release from the NYC-based collective—comprised of Cisco Swank, Yoshi T., Jackson August, Sebastiano, and Elijah Judah—adding momentum to their breakout summer following a sold-out pop-up last month, where fans lined up around the block to catch them perform at the chicken shop featured in their “chicken shop date” video. Along with the release, the group also shared Cisco’s INTRO video vignette last week, where he reflects on his humble prodigious beginnings as a pianist for his local church where his father served as the musical director upon emigrating from Panama.

“go!” expands the supergroup’s genre-bending sound into a sharper, alternative rock direction after their hip-hop–leaning earlier singles. Driven by distorted guitar chords and heavy, swinging up-tempo drums, the song builds around an infectious chorus delivered by Jackson August before breaking down into a mellower bassline that opens space for a reflective, heartbreak-tinged rap verse from Sebastiano. Directed by longtime collaborator Patrick Linehan, the video captures the group cruising through the city at night while Sebastiano delivers his verse, cutting between scenes of them biking, starting a moshpit inside a deli, and running through New York streets during the chorus—visually mirroring the song’s & the city’s restless energy.

WHATMORE first crossed paths at the renowned LaGuardia High School. Their shared passion for music sparked a bond that deepened through years of collaboration, with the group performing DIY shows across the city’s eclectic downtown and Brooklyn scenes. Together, they’ve crafted a sound that defies easy classification, weaving elements of hip-hop, alt-R&B, and indie rock into a distinct musical tapestry. Cisco Swank’s rich musicality brings depth rooted in jazz, soul, and hip-hop, which is complemented by Yoshi T.’s gift for crafting unforgettable hooks and undeniable hip-hop flair. Jackson August contributes a unique visual and auditory coming-of-age sensibility, blending indie and alt-pop influences, while Sebastiano’s introspective lyricism adds layers of emotional resonance. Elijah Judah serves as the collective’s backbone, anchoring WHATMORE’s genre-blending sound with his production and engineering prowess.
