Olivia Jade Seeing a Therapist After Jacob Elordi Split

Olivia Jade Giannulli says she’s navigating “uncomfortable changes” following her split from Jacob Elordi.

The influencer opened up about her feelings in a YouTube video posted on Sunday, August 24. 

“I think summer gets painted as this like carefree, perfect, kind of month or two, and I’m here to remind you that it’s totally normal if you’re feeling a little off or a little nervous during big transitions or seasonal transitions or whatever it may be,” Giannulli shared in the clip.

She said that she’d spoken with her therapist the day prior, and uses “therapy to fight a lot of nerves and uncomfortable changes” and “to navigate many situations in life.”

Giannulli added, “I feel like my therapist has very much supported me during this season of life and change and I’m very grateful that I have an outlet and somebody to talk to.”

She said that the therapist has helped her “see things in a different light.”

Us Weekly confirmed earlier this month that Giannulli and Elordi, 28, had broken up after dating on and off for three years.

“Things have been rocky between them all summer,” a source exclusively told Us on August 8. “Olivia moved to Paris to get away and have a fresh start for a bit. She needed a change of scenery.”

The exes had “recently split,” according to the insider, who said that Giannulli was “enjoying being free in the city” while Elordi focused on acting. Ultimately, “the distance had put a strain on their relationship,” the insider explained.  

The Saltburn actor was initially linked to Giannulli in December 2021 when they were spotted in Los Angeles one month after Us confirmed Elordi’s breakup with Kaia Gerber. (Elordi and Gerber, 23, had dated for more than a year before parting ways in November 2021.)

Elordi and Giannulli called it quits in August 2022 and then reunited in May 2023, wanting “to see if their connection was still there,” a source exclusively shared with Us at the time. 

In January 2024, Us confirmed that the pair had again gone their separate ways. But days after the news broke, they were back together and hoping to keep their relationship “private.” 

Another source told Us in February 2024 that “Olivia Jade doesn’t want to be known for being just Jacob’s girlfriend.”

In her YouTube video on Sunday, the Los Angeles-born daughter of Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli revealed that she’s moving to New York City and “feeling so many different emotions.”

She noted, “I feel like committing to this move and really letting it sink in that I’m moving across the country for the first time away from my family.”
