If parents are looking for a wide range of kids shows that are both engaging and educational, chances are they are turning to Netflix. The streaming platform is home to Gabby’s Dollhouse, CoComelon Lane, Blippi, Ms. Rachel, Creature Cases, and more of the most beloved kids’ shows on the air today.
Today, Netflix announced that it’s adding to its impressive repertoire of programming. Both classic favorites and new shows and games are arriving to our screens this fall and winter.
Hit Kids’ Shows Returning to Netflix
To start off strong, a new season of Sesame Street and season 12 of Gabby’s Dollhouse will be released on November 10 and November 17, respectively. Season 6 of Creatures Cases will premiere later in the fall, on December 15.
In addition, kids can look forward to tons of new episodes of CoComelon Lane. The show recently released season 5 on August 18. The new season focuses on teaching kids how their neighborhoods function, by introducing JJ and his friends to pivotal institutions like the local airport and an animal shelter.
And the fun won’t stop there, because season 6 of CoComelon Lane will land on Netflix on December 1.
Another hit show returning for a new season is Blippi’s Job Show. In the first season, Blippi and his sidekick, Meekah, met truck drivers, mail carriers, pizza makers, astronauts, and firefighters. They are the big kids with the fascinating work routines that inspire and motivate little kids to someday make a similarly essential contribution to their own communities. While we don’t know much about the plot of season 2 yet, we do know that it will arrive on Netflix on September 22.
Netflix’s commitment to educate, inspire, and entertain kids doesn’t end there: New episodes of the Ms. Rachel Netflix series will debut on September 1.
A New Show Will Also Premiere on Netflix This Fall
If you’re looking for something new to add to your kids’ screen-time rotation, there will be a new adaptation of the iconic Dr. Suess book One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. The show focuses on teaching pre-school children the concept of opposites through the misadventures of two fish best friends (one is red and the other is blue, of course).
New Games Headed to Netflix, Too
One new addition to the Netflix slate of programming is a series of mobile games that kids can play through the mobile app.
One of the most popular children’s games on Netflix is the World of Peppa Pig. Joining the gaming collection are Dr. Seuss’s The Sneetches, which lets kids draw, blow bubbles, and experiment with a telescope. In Dr. Seuss’s Horton, kids are introduced to a jungle landscape while the PAW Patrol Academy gives kids the chance to become a member of the team, rather than just watching the action from home.
