It’s a German-language film that quietly dropped on Netflix on August 21.
The plot follows Lilli (played by Svenja Jung), who heads to Mallorca after a breakup to visit her younger sister Valeria (Tijan Marei), who’s living on an old family estate. What’s supposed to be a peaceful sisterly getaway turns dark when Valeria introduces her new French fiancé, Manu (Victor Meutelet). The couple wants to sell the family property to fund their dream of opening a luxury B&B but Lilli’s not ready to let go of the home that connects her to their late mother.
Cue even more drama: Lilli has a passionate one-night stand with Tom (Theo Trebs), only to find out he’s been hired by shady real estate developer Nick (Thomas Kretschmann) to seduce her into signing away the property. Classic betrayal. As her connection with Tom deepens, so do the lies but you know the truth always bubbles to the surface.
And when it comes to the sultriness of it all, the trailer gives a pretty steamy preview of what’s in store. Think slow, tension-filled moments—like when he softly grazes her lips with his fingers—paired with full-blown heat, including scenes of them tearing each other’s clothes off and making out underwater.
