The Jackson family is experiencing a whirlwind of emotions as Prince Jackson celebrates his engagement to longtime love Molly Schirmang while his sister, Paris Jackson, continues healing from her recent breakup.
Michael Jackson‘s eldest son announced his joyful news via Instagram on Tuesday, August 26, with a touching tribute to his late father.
The post featured their romantic engagement photos set to Michael’s 1987 hit “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You.”
“8 years down ♾️ to go,” Prince, 28, captioned the carousel of pics showing the couple’s journey together. “Molly and I have spent a lot of time together and made incredible memories. We’ve traveled the world, graduated and grown so much together. I’m excited for this next chapter in our lives as we continue to grow and make great memories.”
Prince’s announcement comes only four weeks after Paris, 27, confirmed the end of her engagement to music producer Justin Long. In late July, Paris — who’d been with Long since 2022 and got engaged last December — sparked concern after she was photographed crying during a walk in Malibu. She later clarified on social media: “Those are breakup tears.”

As Star has reported, Paris has been leaning on her godfather Macaulay Culkin during this difficult time. “Mac has really stepped up for Paris since the split. He’s checking in every day,” said a source. “He feels a big sense of responsibility to look out for her since Michael isn’t here.”
The Home Alone actor, 45, even offered to have Paris stay with him and partner Brenda Song for “while she finds her balance again,” per the source.
Meanwhile, insiders recently told Star that Paris’s breakup was complicated by growing tensions over her late-dad’s massive $2 billion estate, with family members reportedly pressuring her regarding the inheritance, in hopes they’ll get a share of the fortune.
