Donna Kelce showed her support for son Travis Kelce’s engagement to Taylor Swift with an adorable nod on social media.
The NFL mom, 72, updated her public Facebook cover photo on Wednesday, August 27, one day after the news of their engagement broke the internet. The photo showed a young Travis, 35, posing for a school photo alongside a young Swift, also 35, in a school uniform leaning against a tree.
The image was originally shared by a Swiftie fan account with the caption, “THEY ARE GETTING MARRIED.”
The comments section of Donna’s post was flooded with notes of congratulations to the mother of the groom. While Travis’ mama didn’t respond to any of the comments, she did give a “thumbs up” to a select few, including one fan who wrote, “Congrats, so happy for Travis!”
The Kansas City tight end and the “So High School” singer announced their engagement with a joint Instagram post.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they captioned the August 26 post, adding a dynamite emoji to signify their nickname “TNT.”
Ed Kelce, Travis’ dad, later spilled the details of the proposal, revealing to ABC News 5 Cleveland that it took place in the garden of the Super Bowl champion’s Kansas City home almost two weeks ago.
