One of the most highly anticipated Netflix releases of the year – The Thursday Murder Club – is about to make its debut on the streaming platform. Starring a host of big name celebrities and familiar faces, the movie is based on the bestselling novel by Richard Osman and “follows a group of friends in a retirement home who gather to solve murders for fun but find themselves caught in a real case,” per the Netflix synopsis.
Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and David Tennant are just some of the stars you’ll see pop up at the Coopers Chase retirement home in the movie, which has been directed by filmmaker Chris Columbus with a screenplay by Katy Brand and Suzanne Heathcote. Speaking to Netflix about The Thursday Murder Club’s cast, director Columbus said: “This is the finest cast I’ve worked with since [Harry] Potter.”
