Joe Alwyn reportedly has not “reached out, nor will he” to congratulate his ex-girlfriend following her engagement to Travis Kelce.
However, a source insisted to the Daily Mail on Friday that the actor, 34, “genuinely hopes she is in a good place and doing well.”
The insider added, “He feels that it is not needed, and he feels she wouldn’t want to hear from him anyway.
“He doesn’t think about her anymore on any consistent basis,” the outlet continued, calling Kelce’s proposal “the final nail in the coffin to any thoughts” Alwyn will “ever have about” his ex.
Reps for Alwyn and Swift did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The former couple started dating in the fall of 2016, with news breaking six years later that they had called it quits.
Swift, 35, briefly moved on with The 1975 frontman, Matty Healy, in 2023.
That summer, she began dating Kelce after the Kansas City Chiefs player used his “New Heights” podcast to shoot his shot.
The Super Bowl winner got down on one knee earlier this week, with the couple sharing proposal pictures in a joint Instagram post.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the duo captioned the stunning garden snaps.
Swift and Kelce made their first appearance as an engaged pair at Thursday’s University of Nebraska versus University of Cincinnati game at Arrowhead Stadium.
The previous day, Alwyn was spotted out and about in London wearing a striped blue sweater, jeans and a baseball cap.
The “Conversations With Friends” star urged “other people” to move on from his breakup in a Guardian interview earlier this year, explaining how he ignores Swiftie hate.
“I have tried just to focus on controlling what I can control,” Alwyn said in January. “And, right from the beginning, tried to focus on the things that are meaningful for me: friends, family, work, of course.”
