Travis Kelce isn’t used to being booed on his home turf, but that’s exactly what happened when he and fiancée Taylor Swift made their first appearance since announcing their engagement.
Kelce, 35, was booed by a large number of University of Nebraska fans as they took on his alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, at Arrowhead Stadium in the first game of the college football season, according to video obtained by Yahoo Sports. The Kansas City Chiefs star played for the Cincinnati Bearcats from 2009 to 2012, and when he was shown on the jumbotron, he was met with jeers and plenty of thumbs down from Cornhusker supporters.
Kelce was sporting a UC Bearcats hat, and while there were some Cincinnati fans in the audience, the majority seemed to be fans of Nebraska. The university is only about a three hour drive from Arrowhead Stadium compared to Cincy supporters who had to drive over eight hours to watch their team take the field.

Swift, 35, and Kelce announced their engagement earlier this week when she shared photos on Instagram of the Grotesquerie star popping the question while down on one knee.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the Miss Americana star wrote alongside a carousel of pictures showing her and Kelce in a garden filled with flowers.
