These items were picked by a competition run on the British children’s TV show Blue Peter, as viewers were tasked with picking eight things they felt represented life in the 1990s.
The capsule wasn’t supposed to be opened for another couple of centuries, but received an unexpected bump in the timeline as the hospital is in the process of demolishing its existing buildings to build a new children’s cancer center.
