LEWISBURG, WV (WVNS) – Lights, camera, action! 59News formerly brought you the news of a film being shot at the West Virginia Renaissance Festival Grounds.
We had the opportunity to speak with the writer, director and co-producer of the film. Rebeccah Crabtree grew up traveling to West Virginia.
WV Renaissance Festival returns for another year of fun
When asked why she chose the Mountain State, she said the reason for her choice, is in the name.
“I grew up coming to West Virginia all the time for family and friends. Over time, it just sort of became our second hometown. So, when I knew I needed mountains and farm fields, this was the place to be,” said Crabtree.
Crabtree wants to express her gratitude for the amazing citizens of the state for being so welcoming.
The rough estimate for the completion of the movie is set for spring of 2026. Crabtree says she is hopeful that the time is accurate, but that complications and unexpected changes could impact competition.
