An evening of music and entertainment will be held to raise funds for a local community radio station.
Vectis Radio, based in Newport, will benefit from a night of performances by local musicians and artists on October 10.
The event is being organised by Maggie Currie, who said: “As an Ofcom-licensed community radio station, we are limited by our licence on the amount of money we can earn through advertising and sponsorship.
“However, other fundraising is not limited, and we need to get a bit more in to keep the station running.”
She added: “This event will do just that, and I was taken aback at how willing our local artists are to help us.
“I just asked, and they said yes.”
