New Clayface set photos seemingly unveil a yet-unconfirmed cast member and a bandaged actor. Clayface, a DCU project, is based on the namesake character from DC Comics. Voiced by Alan Tudyk, he made his DCU debut in the inaugural season of Creature Commands. Tom Rhys Harries is portraying the character in the live-action film.

Clayface set photos feature a bandaged actor and Eddie Marsan in mystery role

Fresh photos and videos from the Liverpool set of Clayface seem to tease various aspects of the movie. One of them shows a bandaged actor outside the emergency entrance of what appears to be a hospital.

In one video, the staff of the aforementioned hospital rush a patient on a stretcher inside. It’s possible that Harries or his body double is both the actor with the bandage and the patient on a stretcher. The production was taking place in front of The Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts, located in Derby Square, Liverpool.

Some of the other photos and videos appear to feature actor Eddie Marsan on the Clayface set. It’s unclear what character he might be playing in the film. DC Studios hasn’t yet confirmed his casting.

Marsan is a veteran actor known for his performances in Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) and Still Life (2014). He recently portrayed King Edward the Confessor in the 2025 historical series King & Conqueror.

According to the logline, Clayface is “a Hollywood horror tale centering on a B-movie actor who injects himself with a substance to keep himself relevant, only to find out that he can reshape his face and form, becoming a walking piece of clay.”

James Watkins, who previously helmed The Woman in Black and Speak No Evil, is directing Clayface, from a script by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini. Besides Harries, the only other confirmed cast member is Naomi Ackie.

Clayface will come out in US theaters on September 11, 2026.
