Priscilla Presley is leaning on an old friend as she “buckles from the pressure” of a bombshell lawsuit accusing her of “pulling the plug” on her late daughter, Lisa Marie, a source tells Globe.
“Tom Jones has become her shoulder to cry on,” the source says of the Welsh crooner, 85.
Jones “is an old-school gentleman” and was good friends with her late husband Elvis, says the source, so “he feels like it’s his duty to look out for Priscilla. He’s been checking in on her constantly and sending flowers to cheer her up.”

As Globe previously reported, Priscilla, 80, has been “in pieces” since her former business partners accused her of hastening her daughter’s death to gain control of Elvis’ trust. Lisa Marie, 54, was rushed to the hospital in “cardiac arrest” on January 12, 2023, and died that day. Lisa Marie’s cause of death was later ruled to be a small bowel obstruction caused by bariatric surgery.
“This has been an absolutely dreadful time and everyone has been so worried about her,” says the source.
“Since they have such a long history, Tom saw firsthand what a loving and devoted mom she was to Lisa,” adds the source. “It’s sickening that she’d be accused of something so awful.”
Though Priscilla has a lot of friends around her, as well as the full support of her granddaughter, Riley Keough, 36, Jones always “has a way of saying the right thing,” says the source. “She always seems a little lighter after she talks to Tom.”

They’re so close that rumors of a romance between them have persisted throughout the years, but they’ve both denied them.
When AI-generated images of the pair getting married circulated online in June, Priscilla slammed them as fake news on Instagram.
“We’re not dating, but we do go out to dinner,” Jones, whose wife Linda died in 2016 after 59 years of marriage, told People in 2021. “She’s a very dear friend of mine, Priscilla. I mean, I met her in the ’60s, and she’s been a friend of mine ever since. But there is nothing romantic, no.”
Even so, the “It’s Not Unusual” singer is “stepping up” for her, says the source. “He’s told Priscilla he’ll do whatever she needs, whether it’s being there as a character witness or just being someone to call when she’s down,” says the source.
“His support means everything to her.”
