Cult horror film icons Elvira, Linda Blair and more set for Terror Con in Marlborough

Linda Blair is set to appear at this year's Terror Con in Marlborough.

MARLBOROUGH — When it comes to horror movie legends, Terror Con is serving up a trio of iconic females, including one who made heads spin with her spinning head, as well as several reunions of a beloved cult classics of the ’80s.

With a few “living” legends in the art of dying and several unholy reunions, Terror Con will be the go-to destination for unearthed things that go bump in the night Sept. 6 and 7 at the Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlborough.

Horror legends

When she was a mere 14-year-old, “Linda Blair” starred in, arguably, the scariest movie of all time. And, no, we’re not talking “Roller Boogie.”

Of course, we are talking about “The Exorcist.”

As demonically possessed, pea soup-puking, carpet peeing, head-turning, fouled mouth, blasphemously badly behaved Reagan, Blair became both a horror queen and pop icon overnight.

Linda Blair is set to appear at this year’s Terror Con in Marlborough.

A recent recipient of the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from “Horror And Halloween Event Group” (and given to her by the group’s founder, “Spooky World” creator David Bertolino), Cassandra Peterson took the “boob tube” by storm as B-horror movie hostess with the mostest, “Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.”

And, everybody loves Elvira with her bouffant hairdo (lifted from Ronnie Spector of the Ronnettes), tight-fitting, low-cut, cleavage-displaying black gown, a million-dollar smile and silly one-liners that makes Henny Youngman look like Mark Twain.

What do you get when you mix Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein” with former Penthouse Pet of the Year (for 1988) Patty Mullen? “Frankenhooker.”

While offensive is so many ways that you will easily lose count, it’s also an absolute hoot if you relish in the over-the-top absurdity of it all.

Added treat, Mullen will be doing photo ops is full-reanimated, “Frankenhooker” attire.

Monster mash

Hold onto your Van Helsing’s diary tight and your Count Dracula’s amulet even tighter. “Terror Con” has risen up the undead duo of Dracula and the Mummy (Duncan Regehr and Michael Reid MacKay, respectively) from the 1987 cult favorite “The Monster Squad.”

If monster fighting humans is more your things, “Terror Con” also has the Universal classic monster movies loving “Monster Squad” club leader Sean Crenshaw (played by Andre Gower), his kid sister Phoebe Crenshaw (Ashley Bank), their dad, Det. Del Crenshaw (Stephen Macht) and Sean’s friend, Rudolph “Rudy” Holloran.

Move over Chucky. If you are fans of demonically possessed doll Annabelle, you gonna want to meet Katie Sarife and Alexander Ward, who play Daniela Rios and a demon, respectively in “Annabelle Comes Home.”

Cassandra Peterson, best known as “Elvira, Mistress of the Dark," is set to appear at the 2025 installment of Terror Con in Marlborough.

If you’re into sci-fi, (fake) bodily fluid spewing, shock rockers in grotesque costumes, GWAR warriors with the cheeky monikers Balsac the Jaws of Death, Beefcake the Mighty, Jizmak Da Gusha and Sawborg Destructo will be messing things up with fans.

Andrew Divoff, who played evil genie Djinn in the first two “Wishmaster” films, will be granting wishes of his fans, if you dare. Nazdrovia! Andy Black, lead singer and founder of the rock band Black Veil Brides, will be hanging out with fans on Saturday only.

Bill Duke and Richard Chaves, who played Mac and Poncho, respectively, in the original (and best) “Predator” movie should have a high body count of fans waiting to hear their war stories in the jungle.

For fans of “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure,” Mark Holton, who played spoiled man-child, Pee-Wee’s enemy and neighbor Francis Buxton and Diane Salinger, who played daydreaming, tourist stop waitress Simon, will be sharing memories of the late, great Paul Reubens.

And, don’t forget, Cassandra Peterson (Elvira) was in The Groundlings with Reubens and played Biker Mama of Satan’s Helpers in “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure.”

Even more scares

Two-thirds of the student documentary filmmakers that were the subject of the found footage in the low-budget pseudo-documentary “The Blair Witch Project.” Heather Donahue and Michael C. Williams won’t be standing in the corner, facing the wall. They will be hobnobbing with fans at “Terror Con.

Black Lodge alert. One of Sheriff Harry S. Truman and FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper’s most trusted allie, Michael Horse, who played Deputy Tommy “Hawk” Hill of “Twin Peaks” will bring law and order and, quite possibly, the ghost of homecoming queen Laura Palmer to “Terror Con.”

“American Horror Story” fans rejoice. “Terror Con” is serving up John Carroll Lynch, who played “Twisty the Clown” (as well as Drew Careys cross-dressing brother on “The Drew Carey Show” and Arthur Leigh Allen, the only publicly named suspect in the “Zodiac Killer” case, in David Fincher’s “Zodiac”) and Naomi Grossman, aka Pepper the “pinhead.”

No, wait. There is more.
