Killbuck Early American Days parade features clowns, band, floats
The parade featured firetrucks, floats, queens, entertainers, classic cars and the West Holmes band. A tribute to 125 years of KSB was held.
- Multiple music events are scheduled, including Main Street Music featuring various artists, Ashland Symphony Orchestra String Quartet concerts, and performances by the Stardust band and Miles Pike.
- Community events include the Downtown Wooster Farmers’ Market, Wild Woman Gypsy Fair, ArtiFlex Car Show, and a Sewing Fest.

Stardust band, lead by Paul Martin, concert, 7 p.m. Monday, First Christian Church, 1425 King Road, Ashland, presented by Big Bands & All That Jazz Society. The band has played Big Band Era music for more than 30 years. Joining Martin will be Tom Reed and Eric Snyder on saxophones, Darrin Harvey and Damian Boyd on trombones, Andy Cary on guitar and Jason Kamp on drums.

Mississippi Catfish Fry for Missions, 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, Sonnenberg Mennonite Church, 14367 Hackett Road, Kidron; dine in or drive-through carryout. The menu is catfish, garlic potatoes or chips, hush puppies, coleslaw, apple sauce, pickles and cookies and bars. The cost is a donation. Proceeds support the church’s missions.
ArtiFlex Car Show, noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept 14, 1600 E. Bowman St., Wooster. Imports, customs, classics, street rods, muscle, truck, motorcycles and all types of vehicles are invited. There will be a DJ, food trucks, bounce house, plant tours, caricature artist and more. Awards will be given in vehicle categories at 3:30 p.m. Car registration is $15, which includes a T-shirt. Payments made the day of the event. Dash plaques for the first 100 cars. There will be a kids’ raffle. Proceeds benefit Wayne County Habitat for Humanity. ArtiFlex will match entry fees, donations and 50/50 raffle proceeds.
Miles Pike concert at Singspiration, 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, Orrville Grace Brethren Church, 2200 Paradise Road, Orrville. He’s had five singles reach No. 1 on radio charts. The Orrville concert is the annual Singspiration, hosted by the church. Touring full-time since 2006, Pike shares the Gospel through song and word, with testimonies, comical anecdotes and a worshipful approach.
